Now that the movie FIREPROOF has made history in the movie industry let's see if we can use the movie to help make our personal history more in line with what God wants. The real impact of FIREPROOF is the need to be real as a Christian. Building a relationship based on love cannot be obtained if we don't know what love is. As Christians we often talk as if we live the life of love when, in reality, our "loving" relationships at home are in shambles.

The 6 lessons on "Fireproofing Your Marriage" can help to reinforce the message of Christianity that is so emphasized in the movie. Each lesson uses a movie clip that deals with some part of either the failure of the relationship or the building of it. Every couple can find tools that will help them see where their weaknesses are and start the strengthening exercises.

The great part of the 6 lesson approach is the group involvement. By using God's plan that includes a number of people (often called "church") we build an even stronger marriage bond by including others in our relationship problems. The questions are well done and include certain "rules" that help make sure the spouses are not abused in the answers.

In the fifth week of its theatrical run FIREPROOF is still #11 at the box office though 22 films have opened wide since its debut. FIREPROOF retains 80 percent of its original screens after five weeks, remarkable by Hollywood Standards!

Meanwhile, The Love Dare, published by B&H Publishing Group, enters its third week atop the NYT Bestseller¹s List for paperback advice books. Keeping up with high demand, 1 million books will be in print within the week.

• FIREPROOF opened at #4 in the nation, although the rest of the films in the top ten had three times had three times as many screens or more.
• FIREPROOF expanded to 85 new screens this week.
• FIREPROOF finished sixth in per-theater average among the top 15 movies with $2,380.
